Escape with a Canoe Adventure on the Broads

A great way to see the Norfolk Broads at your own pace, and get fit, is to take to the water in a canoe or kayak and if you pack your tent and sleeping bag it can be a very, economical holiday! Escape with a Canoe Adventure on the Broads.

You do not need to have been in a canoe before to get the most out of your trip. At Herbert Woods we have the classic Canadian Canoes which can seat up to three people and are large enough to store plenty of equipment, so they are ideal for spending several days out on the water.

We also have Kayaks, which can seat two people, are very stable and easy to paddle while offering plenty of space for storage.

Both offer the ideal way to get up close and personal with the wildlife on this wonderful National Park with its landscape of shallow lakes and rivers. So why not set off by yourself, or get a group of friends together and enjoy your very own waterborne safari?

You will be able to venture into waters free of motorized craft. Paddle at your own pace and without any engine noise you are less likely to disturb the herons, voles or kingfishers that you may well be able to spot.

When you feel like it you can moor up on the riverbank, unpack your provisions and sit back, relax and enjoy a different pace of life. There are of course plenty of pubs and restaurants if you prefer.

You will quickly get used to life aboard your canoe and it is something all the family can enjoy and of course there is virtually no current to contend with on the Norfolk Broads.

Our Herbert Woods canoes and kayaks and available from 1 March to 31 October and for full details please see Canoeing on the Broads
